Network Engineer

Our enterprise is currently searching for a network engineer with 5 to 10+ years of administration experience and an equally experienced sense of humor. The candidate will be positioned alongside our other administrators, who currently have over 35 years of experience in the IT industry, and will work closely with our sales team, who have been selling IT for over 20 years. We're a small company in the process of great growth, doing so to meet the needs of the growing managed services industry.

As with any job, certain requirements must be met. This position is NOT for the inexperienced. A positive attitude, acceptance of frequent change, and excellent communications are paramount. A reliable mode of transportation is required, as this position requires onsite support at times.
Minimum requirements:
*TECHNICAL*
* 5 to 10+ years' experience in Active Directory and network topology. * DNS, and how it relates to the internet and Active Directory. * DHCP - Scopes and Options. * Active Directory topologies for Windows server 2012 and up, including basic skills like adding users and computers. And creating, troubleshooting, and deleting Group Policy Objects. * Switching and basic terminologies like VLAN, VLAN Tag's, and LAG's. * Hyper-V 2012 and up. * Windows Operating Systems through 11. * File technologies including NTFS, DFS, and Windows Shares/SMB. * Network topologies experience - Routing, Switching, Firewalls, etc.
* Knowledge of Office 365 and Entra AD Connect.
*COMMUNICATION*
* Excellent interpersonal skills. * Ability to handle work of diverse scope and complexity. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as computer documentation, hardware operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write business reports and correspondence. * Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers, vendors, and employees. * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
*PREFERRED EXPERIENCE* (not required, but awesome if you have it!)
* Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL
* Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure and Virtual Machines. * Understanding SMTP routing in relation to Exchange and third-party SMTP services. Mostly because of Office 365. * Basic understanding of mobile broadband solutions
* Experience with WatchGuard firewalls.
* Experience with Ubiquiti routers, switches and access points * Basic understanding of Wireless technologies * Experience with server virtualization (Hyper-V / Citrix / VMWare ) * Experience with storage hardware, such as a SAN or NAS.
* Experience with IT service companies or MSP.
