Our work depends on Network Engineer Intermediate joining our team to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Will complete tasks assigned by Senior Network Engineer. Under general supervision will install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Agency Internet Network (AIN), Intranet and Internet and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system; Maintain network hardware and software; monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users and perfor necessary maintenance to support network availability; Provides support to projects that involve networks; and provides support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders. Provides installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems. Designs, develops, implements, tests, debugs, and maintains communications systems. Performs configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems, and implements incident response procedures during incidents of a network or host security breach. Complies with prescribed customer, industry and agency standards. Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives effectively Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently. Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of network development from analysis of mission needs to verification of network performance. Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
