The Role Presidio is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team to support our client base throughout the Tri-State region. This individual will lead small to large projects independently or as part of a team, including planning, design, and implementation of complex network and security engagements. This is a consultative role providing network engineering services on project work and effectively managing the implementation process from design to customer acceptance. Travel Requirements In this role, you will be expected to travel up to 25%. It will be based in the Tri-State region. Key Responsibilities Perform project-based engineering, design, staging, installation, validation, testing, and troubleshooting of data/security networks. Lead complex, large-scale Network and Security projects. Create detailed low-level designs that align with business strategy, customer budget, and operational support capabilities. Conduct network discoveries and assessments. Present documentation and engagement deliverables to customers. Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Management, and other engineering resources. Resolve complex issues and assist team members with deployments. Work with junior engineers to implement secure network solutions. Execute network maintenance MOP onsite and remotely with minimal downtime. Required Qualifications Expertise in complex multi-protocol routing and switching solutions, with focus on Cisco Best Practices. Knowledge of security parameters and device hardening. Experience in network design, including IP addressing, and protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP. Understanding of TCP/IP stack, OSI model, and TCP/UDP services. Cloud Networking experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and Aviatrix. Experience deploying SDWAN solutions with Viptela, Silverpeak, or Palo Alto Prisma SDWAN. Security solutions implementation experience, including Palo Alto Networks and Cisco Security products. Strong troubleshooting skills in routing and switching. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, including military experience. 4-5 years of related project implementation experience. Additional/Preferred Skills and Certifications Knowledge of Fortinet products, Arista Networking solutions, Aruba products, automation/scripting skills (Python, TCL). Active Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE preferred) and Palo Alto certifications (PCNSA, PCCSE, PCNSE preferred).
