Network Engineer Position Highly responsible position performing advanced technical work analyzing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and securing enterprise voice and data networks. Manages projects and ensures compliance with standards and regulations. Researches, recommends, and determines adherence to adopted security frameworks. Mentors other Network Engineers.

Serve as the primary Information Security point of contact between the Circuits partners, vendors, and the FDLE.
Review and recommend improvements to data integrity and cybersecurity.
Subject matter expert in selecting, deploying, and configuring cybersecurity tools.
Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
Implement and manage security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation.
Develop and enforce network security policies integrated into network design and operations.
Create and oversee a circuit-wide cybersecurity awareness training program.
Research and recommend network best practices.
Ensure system availability through redundancy, load balancing, and failover solutions.
Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including backup strategies and rapid recovery techniques.
The position will initially be headquartered in DeLand, with possible relocations. Work hours may include weekends and holidays, with travel to circuit offices as needed.
Qualifications:
Eight (8) years of responsible experience as a Network Engineer or in a related field.
Or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field, plus four (4) years of responsible experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license and obtain a Florida driver's license within 30 days of appointment.
Substitutions of education, training, or experience are possible.
Additional skills include:
Developing enterprise cybersecurity strategic plans.
Identifying and resolving complex security threats.
Configuring routers and switches.
Designing and implementing LAN/WAN circuits and campus-wide Ethernet switching.
Troubleshooting firewalls.
Organizing work, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work under stress.
ADA Requirements:
Physical Demands: Ability to see, hear, talk, reach, lift up to 40 pounds, and operate a vehicle.
Environmental Demands: Inside and occasional outside work.
Mental Demands: Ability to read, write, analyze data, resolve problems, and think logically with attention to detail.
