Position: Network Engineer III
Location: NCRC-ORL Facility, Orlando, FL
Position Summary:
S2Technologies is currently seeking a highly qualified Network Engineer III to join our team supporting the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) Event Planning, Operations, and Support in the Orlando, FL facility. This senior-level position is focused on the design, deployment, maintenance, and security of complex IP and non-IP network infrastructure, ensuring robust support for cybersecurity testing and mission rehearsal events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain IP and non-IP network infrastructure for cybersecurity events.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Ensure network architectures comply with DoD security standards, implementing STIG compliance and performing audits.
- Provide advanced network support and escalation to swiftly resolve complex network issues.
- Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and operational guidelines thoroughly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support cybersecurity testing, training, and rehearsal events.
- Participate actively in technical interchange meetings, providing expert network engineering advice and insights.
Requirements/Qualifications
Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant).
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent advanced networking certification
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Applied Technology
Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering or related IT roles.
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on expertise with Cisco routers, switches, and security appliances.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience configuring and managing advanced networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks including STIGs and NIST SP 800-53.
- Extensive experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Clearance Requirement
- Top Secret (TS) with SCI eligibility required
Preferred Qualification:
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
- Prior experience supporting cybersecurity testing and event planning within a DoD environment.
- Additional advanced cybersecurity certifications.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time, primarily on-site role at the NCRC-ORL facility in Orlando, FL.
- Occasional travel may be required to support events at other NCRC facilities.
- Flexible work hours, including occasional after-hours support, may be necessary.
- Position involves physical access to network/server spaces and occasional equipment handling.
