About the Role

The Network Architect Engineer will be responsible for designing network architecture and maintaining the needed architecture documentation.

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust and efficient network architecture solutions specifically with Palo Alto firewalls. Maintain and update architecture documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Create and distribute SOPs for core architecture. Identify areas of opportunity to enhance processes and methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Participate in project planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and backlog meetings to track progress and address issues. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience working as a Network Architect in a large enterprise environment. At least seven years of hands-on experience with: Palo Alto firewalls GlobalProtect VPN/Prisma Access

At least five years of hands-on experience with: Routing and switching (Cisco routers and switches) Load Balancers (F5)

Preferred Qualifications:

Palo Alto PCNSE or Next-Generation Firewall Engineer certification Azure certification Experience with automating tasks using Python
