As a Network Analyst - Performance Engineer, your efforts will directly impact the efficiency of our organization and you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology to improve infrastructure. This computer science position requires onsite presence to maintain the integrity and security of sensitive operations.
WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?
As a Network Analyst - Performance Engineer, you will take charge of maintaining and optimizing infrastructure. Your day will include monitoring traffic to ensure peak performance, identifying any bottlenecks, and ensuring the health of all physical devices. You will collaborate with government customers and end-users to define key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze performance, and develop test plans to validate infrastructure performance. By working with your team, you will help troubleshoot complex issues, provide detailed reports and recommendations for improvements, and configure monitoring systems tailored to meet customer needs.
WHAT'S NEEDED FROM A NETWORK ANALYST - PERFORMANCE ENGINEER?
We're looking for someone who can work full-time while meeting the following qualifications:
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with networking technologies, specifically switches, routers, and resolving complex LAN/WAN issues
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field OR equivalent combination of education, professional training, or experience
Active Security+ CE Certification (or higher) with one or more of the following active network certifications: Network+, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT
Active Secret Clearance, with Top-Secret Clearance (preferred)
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or Arista
Experience with TACACS, Radius (ACS/ISE)
Knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, ACLs, VLAN, Routing, and Switching
Network issue resolution skills
Experience with network monitoring tools such as NetScout, InfoVista, etc., to isolate issues
Ability to assess and optimize network performance
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
