Leads and mentors the team on all mobile systems, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster professional growth and development of employees
Ensures the operational readiness of all FMS & Mobile systems
Ensures the operational readiness of all new builds and quality
Coordinates with the Maintenance Dept. providing installation and troubleshooting support for all new products
Supporting and assisting all terminal maintenance shops and training on proper field troubleshooting and service for FMS/Mobile systems
Working with mobile systems support team on deployment of new products into the field. Assist with planning, training and implementation
Monitoring and finding fast solutions for failures of all mobile systems products in the fleet
Overseeing all new product deployed to shop staff to insure quality of functionality
Work with software team members on any issues impacting mobile systems delivery new deployments
Overseeing and keeping backup on all new software deployed to Mobile Systems
Lead Mobile systems in all new designs and processes to ensure smooth deployment of new products
Keep all SOP’s up to date and under document control
Ensure all defective in-warranty products are returned for RMA repair in a timely manner
Experience and Education:
5+ years of experience as a mobile systems technician or a similar role
Proven experience leading a mobile system support operation for large-scale enterprises
Degree in Electronics Engineering preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Any relevant industry or technology certifications a plus
Component level troubleshooting and repair skills are a must
Familiarity with automotive electronics and wiring preferred
Mobile System Delivery Electronics Engineer
Job Description:
As a Mobile System Delivery Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing the design of electronic systems, products, software and components for R+L. You will provide essential support to the business by analyzing customer needs to determine the costs, capacity and requirements for creating an electrical system plan. Your role will be key in creating testing procedures and maintenance for electronic equipment and components. You will be expected to recommend design modifications and equipment repair procedures for the support team. You will inspect electronic systems, instruments and equipment to ensure they meet applicable regulations and safety standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Concentration to keep track of several design elements and technical characteristics when designing and developing electronic products and components.
- Initiative and drive to complete tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Interpersonal skills to work well within a team environment during the manufacturing process to ensure plans are correctly implemented.
- Advanced math knowledge including calculus help to design, analyze and troubleshoot processes and equipment.
- Speaking skills to clearly explain their reasoning and designs to provide instructions during development and production.
- Writing skills to develop technical publications, including design methods documents, product proposals, parts lists, operation manuals and maintenance manuals related to the equipment they create.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years’ experience, preferably in a technical or logistics environment.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
