Our SPEAR Wireless Security team is dedicated to assessing and mitigating wireless risks across our global facilities, ensuring the security and trust of our customers and business operations. We are seeking a motivated Security Engineer (SecEng) passionate about wireless security to join our dynamic group. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, managing security risks, and developing effective security tools. Key Responsibilities: Identify and assess wireless-related security issues within Amazon facilities through expert judgment and analysis. Lead and contribute to comprehensive wireless security assessments, both independently and as part of a team. Utilize knowledge of RF fundamentals and protocols, including 802.11, Bluetooth, and cellular technologies. Create detailed reports on findings, aligning with partner teams to drive remediation efforts. Build and enhance tools to improve the efficiency of wireless security assessments. Conduct penetration testing at various network and service/application layers. Engage with cross-functional teams to educate on wireless security concerns and present findings at conference events. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in security engineering, penetration testing, or wireless security. Experience with programming in Python, Ruby, Go, or similar languages. Thorough understanding of wireless security protocols and risk management. Effective analytical and communication skills, capable of conveying technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
