Mid-Level DevOps Engineer TS/SCI FSP

Our client is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer on a full-time basis. This role involves working within a dynamic Agile team to support the full lifecycle of platform development, deployment, and maintenance. The successful candidate will contribute to mission-critical systems by implementing DevOps practices, automating deployments, and supporting reliable software delivery across multiple environments.
Responsibilities: Support the development lifecycle of platform architecture design, deployment, and debugging
Build and manage release pipelines to enable rapid, secure software delivery to production
Develop and maintain version control systems (GIT), including branching and merging strategies
Serve as a technical lead on an Agile team and participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, product demonstrations, retrospectives)
Automate release deployments across development, testing, staging, QA, and production environments
Set up new sites and applications using configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible)
Maintain and upgrade tracking and documentation software (e.g., Confluence, Jira)
Design and maintain web service infrastructure and deployments
Analyze service stacks and recommend improvements
Identify and implement automation opportunities in development and deployment processes
Communicate effectively to bridge stakeholder needs with development requirements
Provide operational support as needed while maintaining confidentiality of processed information
Use programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, and Java
Apply DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering methodologies across service architecture
Configure CI environments using containerization, serverless technologies, and Kubernetes
Must Have's: U.S. Citizenship
5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Proven ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
