Key Responsibilities:
Optimize metal powder production processes - including atomization, classification, and sintering Perform powder characterization: particle size, morphology, purity, flow rate, and more Improve process efficiency and product quality using Lean and data-driven methods Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to support innovation and scale-up projects Troubleshoot technical issues in production and materials Develop SOPs and ensure safety and compliance with ISO 9001 and other quality systems Contribute to the implementation of new equipment and manufacturing technologies Qualifications: Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field 2+ years of hands-on experience in powder metallurgy or metal powder production Knowledge of atomization techniques (gas, water, centrifugal) and powder testing Experience working in a manufacturing environment with quality systems Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills Preferred: Master's degree Experience with additive manufacturing (e.g., metal 3D printing) Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, or continuous improvement tools Exposure to HIP, sintering, or advanced consolidation methods

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
