A global financial services team is seeking a Mendix Lead Engineer to drive the design and delivery of scalable low-code applications supporting trading, investment management, and asset allocation workflows. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead architecture, design, and development of Mendix-based applications for complex front-office use cases Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions Oversee a team of Mendix developers, ensuring adherence to low-code development best practices Integrate applications with internal platforms and external data providers Ensure application performance, scalability, and security Implement CI/CD pipelines, support testing strategies, and conduct code reviews Act as the bridge between business and technology teams
REQUIREMENTS 5+ years in software development, including 3+ years of hands-on Mendix experience Strong understanding of financial workflows: trading, portfolio construction, or asset allocation Leadership experience in low-code delivery teams or projects Mendix app lifecycle and microservices architecture REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architectures SQL databases, real-time data processing Security, compliance, and auditability within financial systems Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
NICE TO HAVE Prior integration with market data platforms or financial decision engines Exposure to model-driven workflows Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., NAIC, Solvency II, SEC, FINRA) Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) Experience with other low-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems, PowerApps)
