A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
We are strengthening the Engineering department within
Distributed Global Customer Operations!
As a Mechanical Packaging Engineer, you would start a
typical day with organization of tasks to support multiple concurrent projects.
This position will review contracts, evaluate on time delivery of engineering
documents, review scope and identify gaps, coordinate meetings for
clarification of technical issues, mentor other specialists, and provide
reporting to direct manager, project leads, and other leaders within the
business!
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
You
incorporate Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines, and adapt the
assigned scope to meet project-specific requirements, due to Customer
Specifications, Regional/Statutory Requirements for the Installation
location, and any other Special Application Requirements
You
support the Project Lead Engineer in Internal and External meetings and
operational activities, including production planning, disposition and
correction of non-conformances, and evaluation of supplier user
documentation.
You
apply sophisticated knowledge in the assigned systems, manage assigned
scope projects, work independently, mentor others, and review/approve the
work of team members in this same job field.
You
collaborate with both local and global Siemens Energy Engineering, Project
Management, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Installation teams in
support of project execution activities.
You
own the technical scope for the project within your subject area,
collaborating with other leads in ensuring the overall package is
compliant to our configuration plan and Customer requirements.
You
provide support to Proposal Managers with requirements review, gap
analyses to standard designs, and risk evaluation on aeroderivative and
medium rotating equipment bids.
What You Bring (requirements)
Master
or Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Aeroderivative
or Medium Gas Turbine packaging experience a plus.
10+
years of experience with design and specification of mechanical systems
for gas turbines in compression and power generation applications.
Strong
leadership and interpersonal skills.
Applicants
must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without
need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens

internal transfers.
