Job Summary The Maintenance Engineer participates in maintenance planning, reliability improvement and other maintenance and repair functions of a plant. Responsibilities Responsible for machinery reliability improvement and engineering Assists with maintenance planning, daily and yearly outages and predictive maintenance Manages spare parts Plans, coordinates and schedules work required Supervises contractors and orders materials to ensure efficiency and success Assists with capital budget and maintenance projects Provides guidance to the mechanical maintenance personnel in the repair, maintenance and installation functions Performs other duties as assigned Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Requirements/Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint) Knowledge of the principles of predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance Strong communication, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills Physical requirements: standing, stooping, walking on various surfaces and terrains, climbing up to 380 feet, lifting up to 70 lbs., walking long distances, ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings Must be able to work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions and near hot kiln process Will have exposure to all levels of noise that require use of hearing protection Exposure to cement, clay, limestone and various lab chemicals; see MSDS for more details Ability to work in surroundings that include heat, dust, vibration, heights and confined spaces Preferred: Experience in project work in a manufacturing environment, preferably a cement plant Experience with ERP system, preferably SAP Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. #LI-PW1
