We are seeking a motivated and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the evolving waste processing industry. Perform detailed design of recycling system equipment and supporting structures in close collaboration with sales and engineering teams. Create engineering drawings for manufacturing, field installation, and documentation. Specify components to develop a Bill of Materials. Utilize ERP software and work closely with procurement to ensure timely and accurate component delivery. Manage projects throughout the manufacturing process on the production floor. Document and educate team members on standardized procedures and best practices. Identify and lead process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency in manufacturing and engineering tasks. Seek out and implement cost reductions and develop strong relationships with suppliers. Contribute to a company culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, high performance, and outstanding quality in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD software is required. 4-5 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering is required. BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification. ERP software experience. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including sheet metal bending, punching, and welding. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in designing recycling equipment and conveyors is a plus. Experience working in a Design and/or Electrical Engineering role is a plus. Professional decorum when speaking to customers. Ability to synthesize mechanical component requirements. Capability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently. Willingness to tackle new or challenging tasks. Work Environment
Work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts. There is potential for hybrid or remote work arrangements based off experience. The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
