Location: Carol Stream, IL Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000+ annually (depending on experience)

Position Summary The Mechanical Engineer will design and create machine and machine component models using modern computer-aided software. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and supporting Operations and Sales, this role is ideal for a mid-level engineer looking for long-term stability with training and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities Design and model mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods utilizing 3D CAD software. Produce working drawings from models for manufacturing departments. Create material lists related to machine and component designs. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or reduce production problems. Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties. Develop products by studying customer requirements. Design and modify equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components. Assure system and product quality by designing and executing testing methods. Provide engineering information and support across departments. Requirements Minimum 2-3 years of on-the-job experience with computer-aided design software. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Microsoft Office Suite. Schooling or coursework in CAD systems. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. Strong numerical and mathematics skills. Mechanical engineering background and knowledge preferred. Attention to detail, strong time management, and effective verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
