The Mechanical Engineer improves the performance of various Wahl products from an overall systems perspective, with a focus on the mechanical engineering and engineering mechanics principles. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the design, and optimization of motors, blades, and drive system under the supervision of the Senior Mechanical Engineer Performs analytical and numerical analyses to identify improvement options for the components, subsystems or overall system Creative problem-solving capacity and the ability to push the limits of what is considered possible. Provides concise technical reports/formal documentation and clear communication to stakeholders in a timely manner Leads projects diligently and uses best project management practices. Structured problem-solving and data-driven approach Collaborates with Product Management, NPD, Engineering, and Operations to help seamless transition from end user insights all the way to technology deployment. Leverages internal and external capabilities proactively to accelerate project execution PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering or engineering mechanics. Thinks systemically to ensure end-to-end business strategy alignment MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or similar field required Advanced Degree Preferred Excellent time management, formal technical reporting and presentation, communication, and meeting facilitation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with people of diverse backgrounds.
