Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer primary function is to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of HVAC systems.
Job Duties:
- Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
- Commitment to the Company's policies, principles, and procedures and adheres the Company's procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety ("EH&S"), Equal Employment Opportunity ("EEO"), discipline/corrective action, and security.
- Provides overall engineering coordination for projects; performs and/or supervises the preparation of scope, pre- schematic, schematic, preliminary and construction documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications of HVAC products.
- Works with a wide range of technical, professional, managerial and support personnel as well as outside consultants, contractors, vendors
- Constructs models and prototypes of the product, then evaluates the design through testing.
- Studies the test data and makes comparisons with similar designs.
- Develops control systems and monitors production.
- Staying abreast of building codes, standards, and regulations, the engineer ensures that all HVAC designs and installations comply with industry requirements.
- Develop machine drawings, 3D modeling, assembly and detail drawings.
- Interface with manufacturing to ensure parts are properly fabricated, machined, and assembled.
- Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements
- Designing and developing prototypes.
- Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new designs.
- Analyzing and testing prototypes and each revision of a device.
- Designing and developing prototypes
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of electrical schematics.
- Proficient with Autocad, Solidworks, and Inventor.
- Must be able to work 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Experience
- 8 + years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements - Essential
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work on machinery.
- Must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
