Ergonomic Partners is a custom solutions design and manufacturing company with a focus in material handling. The Mechanical Design Engineer will focus on custom lifting devices, industrial robotics and manipulator arms. The role offers a unique combination that allows engineers to design one of a kind solutions and work with our machinist, welders and fabricators to see their designs come to fruition. Each design is job specific, so the position will have variety when it comes to the solutions being created.

About the Job We are looking for a mechanical design engineer with somewhere between 2-5 years of experience to work within our current team of engineers and be responsible for: 3D design of custom lifting devices Robotic End of Arm Tooling design Robot Programming and Control Review of customer specifications, product concepts, and documentation to determine best overall solution and design Creating fabrication drawings to be sent to our shop for build Working with machinist and welders to ensure the design is built correctly Creating a Bill of Materials for the project Ordering components as necessary

About You Background and Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering Solid (2-5 years) design experience in industry Material handling industry or automation design knowledge a plus Strong AutoCAD experience and utilization SolidWorks experience Successful Attributes Creative problem solving skills Strong organizational skills dedicated to meeting schedules & budgets. Strong communication skills - listening, verbal, written, and presentation. Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Ability to read and create schematics using SolidWorks. Able to travel to customer sites.
