Responsibilities
Design and draft 2D drawings from 3D models using mechanical design software.
Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing techniques effectively.
Collaborate with Design Engineers to communicate design intent to global manufacturing locations.
Implement design for manufacturability principles, with knowledge of die casting, injection molding, and machining processes.
Utilize quick turn prototyping tools, such as additive manufacturing.
Conduct DFMEA processes and ensure design validation through metrology.
Optimize product development, design validation, and manufacturing for various industries including automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial automation.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Experience in mechanical design using 3D modeling software, preferably Siemens NX.
Strong experience in mechanical engineering and creative problem-solving.
Knowledge of die casting, injection molding, and machining processes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
