Materials Process Engineer

At the heart of a continuous-strand fiberglass manufacturing operation is the bushing, a precious metal alloy component similar to an extrusion die. The design, manufacture and operation of the bushing components are critical to the success of Owens Corning. The primary responsibility of the Materials Process Engineer will be to serve as the subject matter expert for the precious metal alloys used in the bushing (extrusion die). They will investigate quality issues and troubleshoot solutions, document learnings and best practices, and partner with the manufacturing teams to implement and sustain improvements.

Reports to: Alloy Engineering Leader

Location: Concord, NC (On-site)

Span of Control: No direct reports
