Introduction
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support our product lifecycle from design to production. This role involves preparing test procedures, supporting manufacturing lines, managing engineering changes, and ensuring smooth product transitions through New Product Introduction (NPI) and validation processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Experience in Design Change Documentation and BOM Change Management
Experience in Product Testing and Validation
Experience in Supplier Coordination and Product Transfer
Experience in SOP Creation and Engineering Change Management
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, materials, finishes, and ASME GD&T standards
Familiarity with SolidWorks for modeling machined, plastic, and sheet metal components
Proficient in project planning, monitoring, and status reporting
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with developing and maintaining test procedures and assembly instructions
Experience in conducting and supervising product testing
Experience in collaborating with suppliers and internal teams for design changes
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop and maintain test procedures and assembly instructions for in-house processing
Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and suggest design improvements
Release parts, assemblies, and BOMs to production with complete documentation
Initiate and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through closure
Provide manufacturing line support and develop test fixtures for assembly and validation
Conduct and supervise product testing, analyze results, and ensure compliance with performance specifications
Prepare and oversee release documentation in accordance with engineering standards
Support NPI product transfers and ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide validation support
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for design changes, first article evaluations, and process improvements
