The company’s manufacturing facilities and headquarters are based out of Tucson. As the company continues to grow, increase production, and expand its product lines, Solar Industries Inc. is looking to strengthen its engineering department. As a manufacturing engineer at Solar, you will be focusing on utilizing industry software to optimize our manufacturing processes and systems.*Key Responsibilities:** Bridge the gap between software and manufacturing operations, utilizing system knowledge and engineering expertise to improve efficiency, automation, and overall production.* Work with engineering team to optimize production and efficiency of manufacturing.* Analyzing manufacturing data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, then implementing system changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.* Utilize existing ERP systems to improve and maintain production related data.* Work closely with other engineers, operation managers, and IT department to implement system changes.* Oversee data and production outputs to ensure they align with inventory, efficiency and production goals.* Support engineering efforts to purchase improved equipment.* Analyze and adjust manufacturing layout to improve production efficiency and output.* Participate in projects from initial concepts through implementation, ensuring timely and successful delivery.*Qualifications:*_*Required:*_* Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in an engineering discipline.* Two (2) years of experience implementing and improving high volume production facilities.* Two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment which relies on an ERP system to produce products. Candidate must be familiar with how data integrity impacts business processes.* Firm understanding of engineering principles and practices.* Ability to communicate and work both independently and in a team environment.* Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing._*Desired*_* Exposure to SQL and/or other methods for retrieving data from complex software environments.* Experience with CAD programs such as SolidWorks*Benefits*· Paid PTO· 401k with up to 4% employer match/ immediate 100% investment· Low-cost medical plans including free dental, vision, term life & short-term disability*Position*Fulltime Exempt. Average shift is Monday-Friday 6am-3pm or 7am-4pm with occasional overtime and occasional Saturdays. This position requires travel between our two manufacturing plants in Tucson, AZ and occasional out-of-town travel.*Work Environment*Work is performed in a warehouse/loading dock setting. Work may, on occasion, involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.*Physical Demands *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger-handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
