Manufacturing Engineer Metal Fabrication

Our client is a leading provider of custom metal fabrication services, over 100 years in business and headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. This organization specializes in producing high-quality metal components and assemblies for a diverse range of industries, including aerospace, defense, construction, energy, and infrastructure.

Job Description

Interpret custom blueprints to determine most efficient manufacturing processes. Utilize CAD software to design components, fixtures, and jigs. Aid with process development. Interface with clients and sales teams to understand order specifications. Analyze metal fabrication processes and implement improvements as needed.

The Successful Applicant

3+ years of manufacturing experience. Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field is preferred. Sheet metal fabrication experience (laser cutting, welding, forming, grinding, etc). Strong experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Excellent problem-solving skills - proven track record conducting root cause analysis/troubleshooting. Prior experience leading continuous improvement initiatives. Strong process development skills.

What's on Offer

Base salary up to $95,000 based on experience. 3 weeks of PTO. Quarterly bonus potential. Health, dental, vision, and 401K plans. 401K profit sharing contribution.
