Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on supporting plant operations through the technical management of spare parts, maintenance systems, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, hands-on experience with manufacturing and maintenance environments, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with suppliers.
This position requires close coordination with Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Indirect Materials teams to ensure equipment reliability, spare parts availability, and efficient MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) systems.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze technical documentation including engineering drawings, diagrams, and bills of materials.
Develop and manage spare parts strategies, including cataloging, storage, and sourcing.
Cross-reference and source parts from both domestic and international suppliers.
Use maintenance management systems (such as Maximo) to track spare parts, planning, and inventory.
Support the setup and management of MRO storage and indirect crib systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and ensure equipment readiness.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting through Excel, project tracking tools, and engineering systems.
Liaise with suppliers to confirm technical specifications, availability, costs, and lead times.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
OR
10+ years of relevant experience in maintenance, manufacturing engineering, material planning, or sourcing.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in areas such as:
Maintenance operations
Manufacturing assembly or machining
Plant engineering or industrial production
Sourcing, purchasing, or inventory management for indirect materials
Required Skills
Strong technical understanding of manufacturing systems and mechanical components
Proficient in interpreting engineering blueprints and technical specifications
Experience with maintenance management software (e.g., Maximo or similar)
Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with project management tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Experience with CAD software is a plus
