RESPONSIBILITIES: The Manufacturing Engineer II must work on special projects including equipment justification, sales equipment redesign/new design and shop efficiency improvements. Must conduct feasibility studies, determine manpower, cost estimates, and develop engineering criteria. Must perform analyses to develop design options and recommendations for structures, systems and components The Manufacturing Engineer II must assist in preparing and revising Bills of Materials (Product Structures), drawings and work instructions for Manufacturing. Must interact with hourly employees and office personnel. Support Lean Initiatives throughout the plant. Responsible for working cross functionally with other team members, responsible for process design and modifications. The Manufacturing Engineer II must continuously improve the workflow and procedures in the assembly of equipment. Must research, source, and document proposals for new equipment and manufacturing methods. Must implement solutions when approved and perform Safety Incident Investigation, as needed by creating Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
QUALIFICATIONS: The Manufacturing Engineer II must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience from a food manufacturing company Must have knowledge of relevant food manufacturing equipment and processes. Certified in LEAN manufacturing/Six Sigma. Must have experience with Creo and SolidWorks Knowledge in advanced analysis using 3D models, is a plus Excellent communication skills. Must be willing to travel up to 5% of the time.
