About Our Client
Our client, an aerospace and industrial markets supplier based just west of Chicago, was established more than 80 years ago. They are a family-run business and describe themselves as a one-stop shop where they can serve their customers in full-service style. They currently reside in an 80,000+ sq. ft. facility with 60+ CNC machines supporting production for high mix/low volume projects. This company believes strongly in the development of their people, and expects this role to grow into a leadership position down the line - average tenure being 20+ years for full-time employees. Job Description
- Design, implement and monitor manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes and equipment.
- Maintain documentation of all manufacturing processes and improvements.
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure manufacturability.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

The Successful Applicant
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Prior experience in fastener manufacturing is required.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards.
- Working knowledge of CAD software for design of custom tooling/fixtures to aid production.
- Proven experience utilizing LEAN/CI/Six Sigma tools to drive production cost savings.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- The ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various departments.
What's On Offer
- Base salary between $80,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.
- Annual bonus incentive based on personal performance + company revenue.
