Job Details
Responsibilities
Lead and execute maintenance and improvement plans across the processing plant
Approve and oversee capital projects including equipment purchases and facility upgrades
Monitor maintenance budgets and control repair expenses
Develop and implement preventive maintenance systems and procedures
Manage parts inventory and coordinate timely reorders
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards
Recommend and implement plant improvements in automation, security, and efficiency
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and daily activity reports
Research and evaluate new technologies for production and facility enhancement
Requirements
2+ years of experience in production or processing plant environments
Mechanical engineering background (IMA, IME, or similar)
Proficient in reading and managing electrical diagrams
Strong Excel skills
Self-directed with excellent communication skills
Leadership experience in maintenance or operations
Nice to Haves
Bilingual fluency (Spanish/English)
Experience with meat processing or food manufacturing equipment
Familiarity with automation systems in industrial settings
Prior involvement in capital project planning or execution
Exposure to safety audits or regulatory inspections
Hands-on experience with facility layout optimization
