SciTech Services, Inc. (SciTech) is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide support in maximizing the reliability, availability, and safety of equipment and systems. The Maintenance Engineer will apply engineering principles to optimize maintenance strategies, procedures, and budgets.
Major duties include :
Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure equipment functions as intended. Work with design, operations, and other teams to improve overall efficiency and address maintenance-related concerns. Design, implement, and manage maintenance programs, including preventative/corrective maintenance and system upgrades. Review & comprehend FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) data to determine system reliability, and its impacts. Conduct analysis to determine the Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), recommend the most cost-effective Maintenance Policy. Calculate the possible cost of all support options and identify the least cost solution. Determine what level to repair the item, spare estimates and allocation, and repair verses discard. Perform Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) to identify the resources needed, steps, spares, materials, tools, support equipment, personnel skill levels, and facility issues (the physical resources) for repair tasks. Apply RCM to ensure maintenance tasks are performed in an efficient, cost-effective, reliable, and safe manner. Identify preventive maintenance tasks for equipment end item and establish necessary maintenance task intervals. Analyze logistics data using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and/or Failure reporting Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS). Conduct Logistics Maintenance Demonstrations (to include preparing the LD Plan, executing the event, and developing the LD report.)
Job Requirements :
Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.) with 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience. B.S. Degree in Engineering, minimum. Chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense experience preferred Ability to work independently with little guidance and thrive professionally in an ambiguous environment. Able to travel CONUS and OCONUS. Must be able to communicate and represent DEVCOM and the customer in a professional manner in front of all levels of U.S. Army personnel and Department of the Army Civilians. Comfortable providing briefings and speaking to small groups of people.
