LEAD TECHNICAL TRAINING ENGINEER (STARLINK)
A Lead Technical Training Engineer is driven by the fundamental belief that education and knowledge are power. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the Team Lead for Training Engineers, Training Specialists and Technical Trainers, with operational responsibility.
- Set priories for team and manages day to day activities.
- Mentor and monitor the team's personal development and performance.
- Act as the technical point of contact for all training requirements.
- Manage and serve as the business system owner for Learning Management System (Bridge), Personnel Qualifications, and Training Engineering Masters (TRN WO).
- Lead trainings of all planning functions in the use of training EMs. Own all training Engineering Masters (EM), including test plans.
- Lead standardization of training methods across departments at the site; including, on-the-job training (OJT), live internal course offerings, and external course offerings.
- Act as point of contact for ensuring training courses are up to date and conform with current specifications.
- Lead design for all hardware and training aids used for hands-on technical training courses.
- Lead development and deliver systems-based training applications (WARP, MES, RTFM, Etc).
- Lead new course content development, including the ability to build new training courses to align with engineering specifications.
- Lead training modules (classroom and online) for SpaceX personnel on a variety of technical topics.
- Develop process specifications and research on new technologies.
- Engage production management, engineering, quality, and subject matter experts to gather required technical information on complex manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Monitor human error trends as a result of training to assess training impacts and provide solutions to demonstrate a downward trend.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 1+ years of experience in technical training or developing coursework in a manufacturing setting.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Training experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Skills to independently analyze, review, and research manufacturing processes and applicable standards.
- Excellent oral and written training/communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and systems troubleshooting.
- In-depth understanding of Personnel Qualifications (PQ) and manufacturing planning (MES).
- Ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and machine operation.
- Demonstrated experience as a team-oriented self-starter, eager to meet and exceed objectives, with the ability to handle a multi-project environment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This role is located in Bastrop, TX and will require you to be onsite. Remote work will not be considered
- Position may require extended hours and/or weekend work
- This position may require some travel. Up to 5%
