This role is based at our current HQ in Bloomington but will relocate to Eagan in 2025.*** ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Hunt Electric seeks a skilled IT Infrastructure Lead Systems Engineer to join our IT team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with expertise in network systems, server administration, cloud services, and IT operations. Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design and deploy robust IT solutions, lead upgrades, migrations, and projects with minimal downtime. Systems Administration and Maintenance: Manage on-premises and cloud systems, oversee updates, and routine maintenance. Network Operations: Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, troubleshoot network issues. Security and Compliance: Implement security protocols, ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Vendor and Partner Management: Evaluate and manage relationships, ensure SLAs, document agreements. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop, test, and lead recovery plans during incidents. Strategic Planning: Optimize infrastructure, reduce costs, stay informed on emerging technologies. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 plus discretionary bonus, employee ownership, and benefits. Details depend on skills, experience, and location. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience. 8+ years in IT infrastructure engineering with leadership roles. Experience with Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking, storage, and security. Proven project management skills and problem-solving ability. Preferred: Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNP, VMware VCP. Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform). Knowledge of ITIL and change management. Key Skills: Leadership, collaboration, multitasking, proactive attitude. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standard office environment; ability to lift files, sit, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
