Lead Specialty Software Engineer Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer to join the FX Risk Management team. As part of this team, the candidate is expected to design, develop, test, document, and analyze specific modules or features of new or upgraded software systems and products, which require knowledge in the FX Risk Management area. In this role, you will:
Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
Lead and drive others across the team to effectively deliver and transform the way solutions are delivered across the enterprise
Effectively partner with business stakeholders and drive the requirements gathering, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization of work to deliver next generation solutions to our business partners
Adopt and support a culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem solving and openness
Support complex engineering initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
Ensure solutions are engineered to increase resiliency, operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
Enforce the adoption and implementation of modern design principles, standards and companywide best practices for engineering and implementing large-scale technology solutions
Leverage your understanding of industry best practices and new technologies to influence and lead technology teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
Work in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutions
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years' experience working with OpenShift and Kubernetes or equivalent hands-on enterprise experience with service-oriented design, development and implementation
5+ years of experience in building, deploying, and implementing new solutions at scale using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, VertX, Reactive programming or equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
Functional understanding of derivatives products and risk management
Experience building and deploying cloud-native services, using Operator SDK and Helm charts, ConfigMaps, Secrets etc. and Service Mesh
Working knowledge of Cloud Foundry and experience migrating apps from Cloud Foundry to OpenShift/Kubernetes
5+ years of experience in building, deploying, and implementing new solutions at scale using Java, .net or equivalent cloud-centric coding practices
3+ years of experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts, including tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Tekton
3+ years of experience with monitoring, logging, observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, AppD, New Relic, Elastic, Open Telemetry)
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure setups
Experience using OpenShift / Kubernetes Container Platforms
Experience in designing, building, and delivering cloud-native, micro-services-oriented solutions at an enterprise scale for large financial services or other large, regulated sectors
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences
Ability to deliver and engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership and accountability in a matrix structure
Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment
Experienced in implementing risk and control requirements for cloud-native solutions
Job Expectations:
In office expectation of 3 days per week
