We are looking for an expert to enhance the administration, security, and cost efficiency of our Snowflake environment, which underpins our enterprise data platform. Your Role: As a Lead Snowflake Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in creating a governed, secure, and cost-optimized Snowflake environment that supports our analytics and AI initiatives. This is not simply a data engineering position—it’s a chance to make a significant impact on our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Governance & Security: Manage user and role provisioning, implement SSO and MFA, and enforce data protection policies. Cost Optimization: Monitor resource usage, develop cost attribution models, and optimize warehouse sizing. Automation & DevOps: Automate object deployment using tools like Terraform and integrate Snowflake into CI/CD pipelines. Monitoring & Performance: Track platform health, diagnose issues, and lead optimization efforts. Collaboration: Act as a Snowflake expert, collaborating with engineering, InfoSec, and data teams to enhance platform capabilities. Qualifications: 7+ years in data platforms, with at least 3 years managing Snowflake in production. Expertise in Snowflake account management and cost governance. Strong knowledge of security practices, including RBAC and data compliance standards. Experience with Terraform, Git, and CI/CD methodologies. Familiarity with data ingestion pipelines and monitoring tools is a plus. This role is not focused on BI development or data engineering; instead, you will own the core infrastructure aspects of Snowflake.
