What were looking for:
We are looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team who will be responsible for supporting our facilities in the Richmond area. This engineer will lead and support manufacturing operations, including process development, equipment acquisition, and daily production needs. The Lead Mfg. Engineer will also mentor team members, track manufacturing data, and work on strategic initiatives to improve processes and achieve long-term objectives.
What youll be responsible for in this role:
Develops, implements, and optimizes manufacturing processes, including tooling, equipment, and methods.
Manages the selection, procurement, and installation of new equipment to support production needs.
Provides technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Tracks manufacturing data to identify areas for improvement and drive process optimization.
Participates in and leads strategic initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Mentors and guides other manufacturing engineers, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
Supports the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment, including manufacturability reviews, cost estimates, and tooling development.
Ensures that products and processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Identifies and implements cost-saving measures without compromising quality or performance.
Works with EHS teams to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process and product improvement projects.

Manage large projects from end to end including scoping, resource allocation and management, project planning, task assignment and tracking against project plan, assessing risks as well as project reporting. Ensures projects are delivered on time and on budget.
What are the basic qualifications?
Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or relevant experience
Minimum 8 years of related experience
What are the preferred qualifications?
Experience in manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
Sound CAD proficiency.
Experience with product design in a manufacturing environment.
Additional experience in Lean manufacturing would be an added advantage.
Project management experience in designing, testing, and launching new departments and products

Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and link cause and effect. Understanding the key stakeholders interests and needs, how decisions made within the organization impact them, and our ability to drive business outcomes.
Develop and present business cases as required with an ability to conceptualize the technical possibilities and convert them into business opportunities/Value Creation
