:
In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution.#LI-SM2
Major Responsibilities:
Provides and/or coordinates generally non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects
Responsible for total integration of schedule activities. Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces
Conducts project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision
Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans
Monitors cost recording and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards
Responsible for the development and accuracy of cost reports. Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency
Leads risk workshops, interviews and information gathering as it relates to risk identification, review, and update
Responsible for the establishment and continued improvement of project functional stakeholder relationships towards effective PERM execution and Customer interface with PERM activities including training as necessary
Delivers training sessions and facilitates workshops
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for Project Controls activities directly related to Cost and Change Control (i.e., change management, trend program).
Demonstrated skill in management, supervisory, and personnel administrative functions.
Proficiency with Bechtel PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications currently used in Bechtel (Microsoft Office Applications and others as required to execute Bechtel processes).
Ability to analyze project work activities and coordinate the timely, systematic, and complete duties required for reporting and on-time deliverables; and help validate progress via quantity surveys.
Ability to support project organizational and administrative activities.
Supervise the development and integration of individual Project Controls requirements into the total project plan.
In-depth level of experience to provide comments and recommendations for Project Controls requirements.
Able to review design scope criteria and quantities for completeness and reasonableness, and coordinates with the project to develop additional estimating bases.
Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
Expert level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
Ability to effectively interface with multiple personnel and produce deliverables on time and with high quality.
Able to work independently to meet project deadlines.
