We are searching for a talented Engineer to join our team supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office at PEO Missiles & Space in Huntsville, AL (on-site). This position will lead Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Increment 3 Engineering efforts, serving as an Engineering SME and technical authority. The successful candidate in this role will work with contractors, government civilians, military and system operators. Job Requirements The incumbent shall have knowledge and experience of applying Agile principles to complex hardware, software and network systems. The incumbent will be responsible for applying Agile principles to functional tasks and activities of the IBCS Increment 3 Engineering team efforts related to requirements definition and traceability, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), configuration management, hardware/software development, platform integration, component qualification, and system qualification, to include technology insertion testing, failure review boards, reducibility, system modeling and simulation performance, product assurance, test and evaluation, reliability, and in-service support for the all Increment 3 IBCS variants. The incumbent shall have experience with radio frequency (RF) and internet protocol (IP) network implementation in military systems. The incumbent will act as the Senior Level Engineer ensuring that all technical aspects of IBCS meet technical requirements throughout the system lifecycle. The incumbent will be responsible to the Modernization Division Chief for maintaining technical integrity and all engineering disciplines across all technical activities associated with IBCS Increment 3. The incumbent will provide direct support to the Modernization Division Chief for the proper application of engineering principles. As the IBCS Increment 3 Lead Engineer, provide technical support to the Project Management Office; develop briefings and information papers, as well as participate in discussions and briefings with senior Army, DoD service, and OSD leaders, such as the Army Acquisition Executive, ASA (ALT) Systems of Systems Engineering & Integration, OSD Systems Engineering, and AT&L. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Serve as the IBCS Increment 3 Engineering SME and technical authority of Air Missile Defense Systems · Serve as an engineer within the IFMC Systems Engineering work force · Maintain technical integrity with the IBCS Increment 3 programs · Coordinate with other program functional areas and agencies on technical/programmatic efforts. · Provide periodic reviews with appropriate representatives to determine status of overall project and major milestones; ensure coordination of orderly phasing of all actions and cost, schedule, and performance risk; identify alternative risk mitigation approaches; and ascertain appropriate action required to maintain or improve project schedules. Job Requirements and Qualifications: Required Qualifications · Current Secret security clearance · Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. · 15+ years of engineering experience. · Proficiency in managing Technical Data Packages (TDPs) (e.g. mechanical/electrical drawings, interconnect diagrams, etc.) · Software, hardware, requirements decomposition, and MBSE tools and languages · The candidate must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) · Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with various levels of stakeholders · Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a team player. Desired Qualifications · Agile SAFe certifications and/or experience · TS/SCI security clearance · Master’s degree in a STEM field · Experience working in a Defense ecosystem (e.g. familiarity with requirements process, developing retrofit kits, supporting engineering of fielded systems) · Experience supporting Air and Missile Defense systems · Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF · Experience using Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence Security Clearance Requirements: · Must have an active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one. Education Requirements: · A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related STEM field is required.
