Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field + 6+ years of experience OR Master's degree + 5+ years of experience OR PhD + 4+ years of experience As a CPU Physical Design CAD Engineer, you will develop and support implementation tools that ensure our CPUs have industry-leading power, performance, and area. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop, integrate, and release features in high-performance place-and-route CAD flows Architect and improve methodologies for optimal silicon design Support and debug implementation flows, solving project-specific issues Collaborate with global CPU physical design teams to provide guidance and support Work with EDA vendors on tool roadmaps and issue resolution Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science 5+ years experience in high-performance chip place-and-route Proficiency in Tcl and Python Experience with automation and various physical design tasks Experience with advanced nodes (5nm or lower) Strong understanding of digital design, timing analysis, and verification Experience with Cadence Innovus or similar tools Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
