Our organization partners with federal, state, and local government entities to deliver cutting-edge digital communications and workflow solutions. The selected candidate must be located within a commutable distance. The position will initially require 100% in-office presence for the first 90 days, transitioning to a hybrid model with 50% remote work thereafter. Your Mission: Serve as the technical steward managing daily operations of critical business applications for a range of government customers. Design, develop, and implement robust infrastructure systems tailored to customer business applications, leveraging your strong expertise in VMWare. Ensure compliance with configuration baselines, expedite vulnerability remediation, and maintain high standards for application availability and performance. Build and sustain constructive relationships with customers by acting as the primary technical point of contact, effectively capturing and managing their requirements. Prioritize data and systems security by adhering to government IT security standards, participating in security audits, and conducting regular inspections and mitigation practices. Stay ahead by researching emerging technologies that enhance service delivery and operational continuity for our clients. What You Bring to the Table (Basic Qualifications): Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of systems engineering experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements. U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret level security clearance post-hire. Exceptional technical problem-solving skills coupled with acute attention to detail. Proven ability to foster and nurture customer relationships. A strong technical toolkit, including experience with: VMWare (design, configure, deploy, maintain with high availability) Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, scripting, and automation RHEL Linux/Ubuntu environments Vulnerability remediation using tools like Nessus Monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, BigFix BES) Network architectures and segmentation Configuration Management best practices Enterprise storage solutions like NetApp Flexibility to support after-hours or weekend work as needed to maintain customer operations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, adept at creating system design documentation and network diagrams. Additional Assets: Experience with backup technologies such as NetBackup or Commvault. Familiarity with DevOps environments and container technologies like Tanzu/Docker.
