Lab IT Support Engineer requires:
Outstanding computer troubleshooting skills for obscure issues, ranging from device connectivity to laboratory software issues. Background with End-user Computing or Desktop Support skills essential. Break/Fix consists of 80% of a Lab Engineers workload. Understanding of hardware components and networking concepts, such as network topography, VLANs, static/dynamic IPs, subnetting, IT/OT networks, and basic understanding of firewalls. Familiarity with the OSI model and ability to troubleshoot different network layers. Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory required. D2D and/or project support. AGILE ways of working necessary. Background with computer security. Previous experience with validated systems (GxP) a plus. Implement the validated data backup solution on laboratory analytical equipment (equipment and software investigation, documentation, technical configuration) within R&D (GxP and non-GxP).<BR> Support for scientists in incident management, user support and coaching, and access management. Lab IT Support Engineer, Desktop Management - Infrastructure Services (IS), laboratory software issues, VLAN, Static/Dynamic IP, Active Directory, AGILE, Laboratory analytical equipment, ServiceNow Testing and validation of computer software (complete tests in different environments, writing technical documentation). Familiar with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow. Microsoft Excel skills a plus. In-depth knowledge in Microsoft OS including iOS and Linux a plus.
Lab IT Support Engineer duties: Assist in maintaining existing computer infrastructure of 5000 PCs globally. Image/onboard new computers into the domain and onto the network, and decommission them. Secure and protect new and existing hardware. Consult with the business as they require assistance with their equipment. Troubleshoot and implement data flows for scientific instruments.
