They are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Computer Vision to develop software for monitoring manufacturing processes and automate defect recognition. The role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance production efficiency and quality. Responsibilities: Develop and own process monitoring software for a variety of SpaceX production locations and programs Develop automated defect recognition computer vision models for manufacturing Design and write the software to connect hardware and tooling to process monitoring systems Work with data pipelines from production line to web application interfaces Work closely with simulation and machine learning experts to link model outputs to process inputs Deep dive into your users problems to find and create efficient solutions Work closely with our production engineers and technicians to provide the best first principles solution to their needs Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency) Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or engineering discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree Development experience in Python, C++, or C# Preferred: Experience in Python, C++, C# or similar object-oriented language Experience in computer vision libraries such as OpenCV and CUDA Experience with machine learning operations in production with tools like MLFlow, Ray, Tensorboard Experience deploying applications to production with Docker and Kubernetes Experience integrating sensors and automation with in-house solutions Experience with web development frameworks such as Flask, SQLAlchemy and FastAPI Experience working with stream data processing using Apache Kafka or similar technologies Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies Experience with Linux applications and server components Experience with data exploration and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Jupyter Experience with manufacturing Knowledge of statistics, machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, JAX, Scikit-learn Knowledge of version control, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment and monitoring Company: SpaceX is an aviation and aerospace company that designs, manufactures, and launches rockets and spacecraft.
