MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Network Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL . Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks under the guidance of Senior Engineers. Configure, install, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Troubleshoot basic network issues, analyze logs, and implement corrective actions. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Monitor network security events, analyze vulnerabilities, and apply security patches and updates. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless network operation and assist in planning and executing network projects, receiving guidance from senior staff. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS in a relevant field or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree. Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, basic routing). Basic knowledge of network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls). Familiarity with network operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS). Basic understanding of network security principles and cybersecurity best practices. Obtain DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification within 6 months. Desired Qualifications Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline. Experience supporting DoD programs and cloud technologies. Knowledge of DoD network environments, classified networks, and DISA STIGs. Experience with network simulation tools, virtual machines, and RMF process. Possession of ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications. Experience with DoD combatant commands or components is a plus. Clearance Requirements Must have an active Secret clearance. Physical Requirements Ability to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time. Effective communication skills verbally and in writing.
