SUMMARY Our company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Systems Engineer to support our infrastructure and networking environments. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers while developing your skills in systems administration, networking, and cloud services. You will assist with daily operations, user support, and the ongoing maintenance of both server and network systems. This role is hybrid and will require at least 3 days in the office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory services. Provide basic networking support, including switches, firewalls, VPN, and wireless access points. Help monitor system and network performance, availability, and security. Assist with network connectivity issues, IP addressing, and VLAN configuration. Perform hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, servers, and network devices. Document systems, configurations, network diagrams, and standard procedures. Participate in IT projects involving infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and new deployments. Provide Tier 1-2 support for end-users and escalate complex issues when needed. Additional duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Soft Skills: Strong interest in networking and systems infrastructure. Clear communication and documentation skills. Eagerness to learn, troubleshoot, and grow in a team-oriented environment. Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications: Minimum Job Requirements, Experience and Training Guidelines: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent hands-on training or certifications. 1-4 years of IT experience in a systems, desktop, or network support role. Basic understanding of Windows Server, networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs), and enterprise IT systems. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud basics -Azure is a plus. Experience with network hardware (switches, firewalls, access points) is desirable. Previous MSP Experience is desirable
