Position Title: Jr. Data Engineer (Life and Annuity)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer with experience in the Life and Annuity domain. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Big Data technologies, hands-on development experience, and a strong understanding of financial services-particularly investment accounting functions.

General Duties and Responsibilities: Provide input on architectural decisions and participate in design workshops. Create integration and application technical design documentation. Conduct peer reviews of functional design documentation. Offer guidance on intended solutions and development best practices during configuration and testing phases. Develop, configure, and perform unit testing on high-complexity components. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects during testing. Support performance testing and provide recommendations for optimization. Advise on infrastructure and environment setup. Assist in production support and environment tuning.

Minimum Skills Required: 4–5 years of overall IT experience. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and developing end-to-end Big Data solutions. Expertise in Spark, Scala, AWS Glue, Lambda . Strong programming experience in Java, Scala, or Python . Proficient in SQL, preferably with Amazon Redshift . Experience in financial services and investment accounting functions is highly preferred. Familiarity with investment regulatory requirements/reporting is a plus.
