It Operations Engineer, Application Support

Point72, L.P. has an opening for an IT Operations Engineer, Application Support in New York, NY. This position is hybrid; may work from home up to two days per week, as permitted.

Provide application support services for our Global Macro investing business. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure environment stability and provide continuous service improvement. Monitor production environment and issue resolution. Automate support tasks. Provide maintenance and support activities on the Orchestrade platform. Work directly with end users (Portfolio Managers, Traders) on any issues that arise and take responsibility for root cause analysis. Ensure that issue resolutions happen in a timely fashion and escalate to relevant development teams if needed. Update internal knowledge articles (Wiki) on new issues; classify known issues, symptoms, and identify potential fixes.

Must have at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as Production Support Engineer or in a related role in financial services. Must also possess the following: at least 5 years of experience supporting both vendor and in-house developed applications; at least 4 years of experience using SQL PowerShell and Python scripting languages; at least 3 years of experience working with financial products, including Fixed Income/Macro products; at least 3 years of experience working with financial platforms like Murex, Calypso or Front Arena; at least 3 years of experience working with front-office personnel providing support; at least 3 years of experience with risk and/or profit and loss systems; at least 3 years of experience with change management and incident management; at least 2 years of experience using and configuring monitoring system such as Data Dog or ITRS; and at least 2 years of experience using AWS platform, and Windows and LINUX operating systems.
