As an IT Field Service Engineer (Field), you will be responsible for implementing and troubleshooting various technologies in our fast-growing consulting firm. Work will be done on-site at client locations, in-office technical configuration, and at times can be remote for customer locations in the NJ / NY Metro area.
Key Responsibilities: Provide technical services to our clients based in the New Jersey/New York metro markets Research technically sound solutions to small and medium business technology environments Utilize monitoring tools and services to support our client base Provide outstanding customer service with direct interaction with the client base Document project and support calls with clear and concise communications Set up system and network architecture for new and current business clients Install multi-vendor hardware technologies in Server, SAN, LAN, WAN, VPN Monitor Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions
Basic SkillProficiencies Required in the following technologies: Active Directory / Group Policy configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance Prior Managed Services (MSP) experience required. Microsoft Azure, IntuneAndroid, and IOS knowledge Virtualization experience with VMWare / Hyper-V ISCSI, LAN/WAN, WiFi, Firewall, and Routing knowledge Windows Server OS experience with install, troubleshooting, management and maintenance Basic Linux a plus, but not required.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Some college preferred. 5+ years of experience serving IT support needs required; prior MSP experience is required. Prior experience with Microsoft 365 experience and Teams required. Strong Windows Desktop experience, installation and troubleshooting. Mac experience preferred. Ability and comfortable working directly with clients Excellent documentation skills required. Ability to write technical processes and perform technical duties Licensed and own a vehicle, willing to travel within the NJ/NY Metro area- Advanced understanding of IP, DNS, and the OSI model Knowledge of current and previous technologies Solid communicator with excellent professional client skills Key Certifications in the Industry Exceptional problem-solving skills This is a career-oriented position with excellent benefits package, 401k with companymatching program, travel reimbursement and excellent holiday/paid time off program.
