We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Inventory Growth Engineer in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Midland Basin Business Unit based in Houston, TX.
Essential Job Duties:
Work with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and evaluate well inventory improvement opportunities in the Permian Resources, Midland Basin portfolio
Frame multiple trades, sales, and/or development scenarios and calculate associated economics, reserves, and potential risk in production and cash flow
Collaborate with the Appraisal, Development, Geology, and Well Analysis and Design groups to understand resource potential in a given asset
Initiate and/or support evaluation of acreage trades, sales, and purchases to improve Oxy’s ownership positions
Responsible for economic evaluations of non-operated projects
Understand competitor activity, development plans, and technical strategies around Midland Basin assets
Identify opportunities for data trades and well trials to improve subsurface understanding and increase well economics
