Position: Integrity Engineer Location/onsite: Hybrid Work Hours: 8-5pm PST Must Have Skills: 3+ years of Engineering experience with at least 2 years focused on Integrity Assessments Experience with one or more – ILI, Direct Assessment, Pressure Testing, Guided Wave, UT (Ultrasonic/ultra sonic), or similarAdditional key words or conversation points: ASME B31.8, B31.8S, 49 CFR 192, API 1163, SP 0502, CFR 49 part 192 or 195, NACE Exposure to all 4 steps of integrity assessments – Pre-assessment, inspection, direct examination, post-assessment Strong background in Oil and Gas Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate in oral, written, and electronic forms to internal and external stakeholders.
Nice to Have Skills: NACE Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) certification ASME/ANSI B31G R-STRENG certification Responsibilities: The Integrity Engineer (IE) will be responsible for determining fitness-for-service of high-pressure gas pipeline assets using data obtained from in-line inspection (ILI), pressure test, Direct Assessment (., ECDA, ICDA, and SCCDA), and direct examinations (., nondestructive evaluations). Establishes the appropriate technologies/methodologies to inspect assets, analyzes and validates assessment data, performs remaining strength calculations for pipeline features (., RSTRENG, API 579, , and determines appropriate response to maintain asset integrity. Activities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Collect, integrate, and evaluate operational data for Company assets in preparation for routinely scheduled integrity assessment-the IE analysis of previous assessment results and resolution of data discrepancies discovered during data integration. Selects appropriate technologies to assess identified threats on pipeline assets. Determine survey acceptance and evaluate inspection data to identify conditions that could impact pipeline integrity. Selects locations to evaluate reported integrity conditions and validate assessment findings. Perform remaining strength evaluation/FFS of anomalies and examined features, determine appropriate response, and collaborate with Operations personnel to execute pipeline repairs. Determine ILI tool performance to establish reassessment intervals. Reviews all project records for accuracy and completeness under established Company standards. Interpret state and federal codes, industry standards, and specifications.
Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Petrochemical, etc)
