Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron Software Services is seeking Instrumentation & Controls Engineers to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Force's Sentinel (formerly GBSD) program in Ogden, UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital US Air Force program that will recapitalize the nation's aging ground-based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an on-site position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e., every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a great work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area, a relocation allowance can be provided.

Key Duties:
Design and develop systems and equipment for the USAF Sentinel program in accordance with codes, standards, and contract requirements. Develop control system designs for facility utilities such as HVAC, lighting, and power systems. Create and review P&IDs, logic diagrams, functional block diagrams, and instrument data sheets using AutoCAD. Generate instrument index and I/O lists using automated tools and vendor inputs. Prepare specifications and procurement documentation using SpecsIntact. Evaluate vendor submittals and incorporate findings into design solutions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and systems engineers to execute work plans. Ensure designs meet security requirements in coordination with government stakeholders. Maintain quality and schedule adherence throughout design execution. Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID. 1 or more years of relevant experience. including drawings, calculations, and specifications for systems and equipment in nuclear or industrial process facilities, data centers, central utility plants, or complex building systems. Experience designing systems for industrial or government facilities. Proficiency with AutoCAD and office automation tools. Strong knowledge of control systems design principles, codes, and standards. Ability to review and develop technical drawings, data sheets, and specifications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High School diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years of related experience, or Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline from an accredited course of study and 5 or more years of related experience. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: Active Secret Clearance. Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license. Familiarity with Bechtel's Corporate Guides and Standards. Experience with ISO-9000 quality programs. Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements in control system designs. Experience designing secure facilities (SCIF, TEMPEST, ICD-705). Previous work with DoD or other government agencies. Proficiency in SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, and SpecsIntact. Understanding of mechanical/process engineering drawings and calculations. Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria and CSI MasterFormat specifications.
