Infrastructure Software Engineer

About This role focuses on scaling and operationalizing infrastructure to support Greptile's rapid growth. The engineer will design systems to handle billions of tokens in LLM inference daily, build deployment processes for enterprise and smaller customers, and work directly with clients in highly regulated industries to support self-hosted, air-gapped environments.

Why join Work on infrastructure powering AI code review for thousands of developers worldwide Help scale high-growth, enterprise-grade AI deployments in healthcare, defense, and financial services Competitive salary, equity, relocation bonus, and visa sponsorship Collaborative, in-person team culture with high ownership and impact Compensation Base Salary: $170,000 - $250,000 (dependent on seniority and years of experience) Equity: $75K - $125K Relocation Bonus: Yes Visa Sponsorship: Available Responsibilities Design and implement robust infrastructure to handle rapid usage growth Collaborate with enterprise customers to deploy Greptile in their environments Operationalize on-premise deployment processes to serve smaller customers with minimal hands-on support Must-have qualifications 5+ years of experience as a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer Proven experience building for scale at companies where products are self-hosted by customers Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform Multi-cloud expertise with hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience at Series B+ companies or smaller companies with large-scale products Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Strong background in computer networking Ability to work closely with customers with patience and professionalism High attention to detail, high agency, and strong learning mindset Willingness to work long hours in person in San Francisco Preferred qualifications Experience with Linux systems Background in developer tools, database, or cloud infrastructure companies Ideal candidate background Experience at high-growth startups with strong engineering cultures (e.g., Brex, Ramp, Stripe, GitHub, Figma, Linear, GitLab, Notion, Retool) Work at companies with self-hosted enterprise products or a focus on security/infrastructure (e.g., Semgrep, Snyk, Sourcegraph, Grafana Labs) Roles in database, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools companies (e.g., Supabase, ClickHouse, Confluent, Databricks, Vercel) Background in big tech environments (e.g., Facebook, Microsoft, Airbnb, DoorDash)
