Job Title: Information Security Engineer (Contingent Resource) Location: Remote (until in-person work resumes in Iselin, NJ) About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Information Security Engineer to join our team on a contingent basis. In this role, you will support the implementation and maintenance of application security tools and processes, with a focus on the Checkmarx and Checkmarx ONE platforms. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure development practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security engineering capabilities. Responsibilities: Provide hands-on technical support for the Checkmarx and Checkmarx ONE platforms. Collaborate with product owners, application security champions, developers, and offshore partners to integrate security into the software development lifecycle. Drive accountability with vendors to resolve product defects and ensure timely updates. Support patching, upgrades, and testing of security tools and platforms. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes and configurations. Troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide high-quality customer support. Minimum Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or a related field (including consulting, military, or academic experience). 4+ years of application security experience. 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira and Confluence (or similar). Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and secure coding practices. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (., AWS, GCP, Azure). 3+ years of scripting experience (preferably Python). 2+ years of experience with SQL and database security. Work Arrangement: This is a remote position until consultants are permitted to work onsite at the Iselin, NJ office.
